Prerequisite:  A makeup or hairstyling diploma or certificate with a minimum of 80 hours of training OR a minimum of 3 years of working experience as a makeup artist and/or hairstylist.  A resume with references must be provided in order to register.  You must bring a hair kit to class or purchase one through our studio.

 

 

EDITORIAL HAIRSTYLING FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY (40 hours, 10 days)

 

Learn how to do both wet and dry finger waves, use hair pieces and accessories, and how to achieve quick style changes for photo shoots. Professionalism and set etiquette, whether for photo, film or runway is discussed. Study hair designs from the Victorian era up until the 1980’s and create modern versions of each.  Advance your capabilities of working with extensions and hairpieces. Explore further, the creation of modern, structured, editorial hair styles using these tools and techniques. Understand what techniques and tricks work for hairstyling for the camera. 

 

Price: $1000 plus tax. Basic hair kit must be brought to class.  Additional products can be purchased if required.

 

Part time - Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 6pm - 10pm

THE ART OF BRIDAL HAIR (20 hours, 5 days)
You will learn how to work with hair pieces and extensions to create modern, romantic bridal hairstyles. Various bridal up do styles will also be demonstrated.   This class does not provide you with a hairdressing license.

 

Price: $595 plus tax. Basic hair kit must be brought to class.  Additional products may be purchased if required.

 

Part time – Tuesday & Thursday evenings, 6:00p.m - 10:00p.m

MEN’S GROOMING TECHNIQUES (4 hours, 1 day)

 

Learn how to trim and care for men’s facial hair. This skill is expected from artists working on any film, television or photography set and could also be offered to the men in a bridal party. This is a one day, 4 hour class.  Kit is not provided. You can bring your own or purchase one through our studio. No makeup or hair skills are required to register in this class.

 

Price: $150 plus tax. Price does not include materials. Men's grooming kit required.
